Really nice colors

Really different colors than most paint sets. That is what attracted me to it. These have some "earthy" tones which I was looking for as I attempt to paint a skull. I really like the squeeze bottle they come in. The paint bottle is easy to shake and the paint flows out nicely. But some of the paints apparently had a leak in the package. At least 4 bottles have paint around the cap.
It also comes with a single fine point paint brush.

Great model and mini paint.

Great coverage. It dries quickly with no noticeable color fade unless you apply it very very wet (which is to be expected). It coats well, and has a great consistency out of the bottle. You do need to thin it for air brushing, but looks great air brushed. The color range in the set is great, but I would have liked to see a flat white, which would be better to use to make shades, but I do love the bone white it comes with. With the amount of paint for the price, you can't go wrong. The paintbrush included is a good starter brush if you don't have one, but I do recommend investing in better brushes.

All in all, if you paint minis or models, grab it.

Meh's the word

As a dollhouse miniaturist, I was excited to try paints designed specifically for miniatures. The range of colors is great, but many shades seem more suited for gaming figures rather than home decor items. While the quality is decent, I still prefer my craft paints for most projects. This set would be ideal for gamers or those painting fantasy-themed pieces, but it didnt fully meet my needs. Other than that, I'm leaving 4 stars based on the amount of time it took me to mix the bottle in order to be able to even use the paint. It's like very sperated, possibly from being delivered in the cold. That part I did not care for.

they work ok

I applied these paints to a military scale model truck for very small parts and the finish looks good, however not totally different/better than the Tamiya brand of acrylic paints that I use mostly. The paint required a lot of shaking. I have a power shaker and still over a minute was required to thoroughly mix the paint. The instructions are clear and suggest a 1:1 to 1- 1.5 thinner to spray through an airbrush. Despite following the instructions and using the highest thin ratio suggested, the paint sprayed oddly through a Paash airbrush so I would only use these for small parts and not for airbrushing.

Nice paints, odd choice of colors

I like the quality of these acrylics. I tried the dust, dirt, and steel colors for weathering a piece of armor, and they went on very nicely. Comparable to some of the big name brands in this space.

I have to knock off one star for the odd selection of colors, however. Multiple blues and purples but no green or yellow at all. Normally I'm willing to live without any orange-brown-leather shades, because I can mix these from other colors, but with no yellow or green I'm stuck. So I guess this set could be a nice addition to your existing paints, but it can't really stand on its own. Shame.
