I love these brushes. I started out painting about a year ago, I knew nothing about painting or that brushes mattered, so I started off with one of those super huge packs that everything from the teeny tiny microscopic brushes to giant make up dry brushes. It worked, but I noticed quickly how many of the brushes, despite my efforts to clean and maintain them after every paint session were hooking at the tip.
I tried The Army Painter brushes next once I knew what I was doing with painting. They worked MUCH better than the giant brush pack I got on amazon, but they still didn't keep that crazy sharp point during painting that I always see YouTube painters doing. So, I decided to give these a try and get a pair of Kolinsky Sable brushes....and man it changes things.
I can't describe how nice it is having brushes that can hold a point while painting, they maintain their shape well and they actually hold a decent amount of paint, allowing me to focus more on my Mini and less on my brush being a constant annoyance.
These brushes might not be Artis Opus or whatever, but for an American who is able to actually GET these and a price tag that's at least reasonable, these brushes are a HUGE step up and compared to the PRICE of the Army Painter synthetic brushes, it makes these even better bang for the buck.
